The Best Places to Look For Discount International Airfares

There are many people who dream of traveling around the globe and seeing all corners of the world. Many times, finding discounted international airfares allows them to live their dreams. One terrific resource for locating discounts on international flights is by checking with the many travel agencies online that have experience with global airfare deals.

Because travel plans can be more complex and challenging when voyaging internationally, as compared to domestic air travel, it is best to work through a travel agency to book your air tickets. But, it is important to be sure that the travel agency you choose has a good deal of experience in working with international flights and the international airlines that service the country, or countries, you are planning to visit.

One of the best indications that a travel agency can make the right arrangements for your international trip is if they have an office located in the country where you are headed. With an office in that country, they will have personnel there who will have a good understanding of the particular concerns related to travel in that country and can often help avoid any problems with booking international airfares to that destination.

Another reason to deal with a travel agency that has offices in the country where you are bound is that they will often have access to special international fares with airlines based in that country. This can help you to get the best airfare deals and save considerable money on your air tickets. Since airfare is usually a large part of a travelers budget, especially when global flights are involved, these kinds of discounts can help make the trip more affordable and enjoyable with some extra spending money for sightseeing and souvenir shopping.

In many instances, discounted airfares for international flights are only available for non-refundable tickets and in general they are also non-transferable. One of the reasons for this has to do with the increased security measures that are in place in different parts of the world, part of which is having the name, dates and flight number all fixed when booking, to reduce security problems.

In most instances, when dealing with internet-based global travel agencies, you should be prepared to pay for your ticket in full at the time that you book your flight. Depending on the discount that you received and the terms of the agency and the airline, you may be able to make slight changes to your flight itinerary.

However, many international airlines only allow changes by adding a significant fee, which can effectively wipe out any discount you might have enjoyed. For this reason, it is advisable to hold off booking intercontinental flights if you have any doubt about your travel dates.

Research is an essential part of securing the best prices on international flights. Even when working with a global travel agency, you should do as much additional research as possible so that you can ask the right questions and be confident that things are being well planned. And, there's no reason why you cannot contact more than one travel agency to have them research the best airfare deals for you and then compare their offerings.

While the travel agency is working on booking the international airfares for you, you should also ask them to look into special rates on hotel reservations that might be available. In many instances the travel agencies have access to special package deals that are not widely promoted and can provide additional savings to you.

WordPress Membership Websites - Creating a Regular, Profitable On-Line Income

There's an old saying, "Different Strokes for Different Folks" meaning that as individuals we have different needs and expectations for most situations in life and membership websites are just the same.

This principle applies to both site owners and members alike. There are many different kinds of site; some will appeal to one group while different types will appeal to another. There really isn't a "one-size-fits-all" approach so let's discuss the various options that might prove attractive.

Social networking sites

We're all familiar with the Web 2.0 sites like YouTube and MySpace. These are social networking sites that provide tools for an interactive network of friends and include user-submitted content such as personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos.

Some of these social networking sites have come under fire recently because they have been shown to be play grounds for predators. Since these problems have arisen there has been more scrutiny of members than there has been in the past. These sites are not likely to just "go away" any time soon because they are very, very popular...not to mention profitable.

Playing on exclusivity

The attraction here is paid for "exclusive" sites such as those that provide ready to use information products. Another example are golf sites which are owned by professional golfers and offer instruction that isn't readily available free on the Internet, etc.

These exclusive websites are designed for specific people and appeal to a group of like-minded individuals who are seeking instruction or information that can only be had on exclusive membership websites.

They call the Internet the "information super highway" but these exclusive sites really do make the information super and the information that is provided is far superior to just the regular stuff that everybody gets for free. This, for many, is an attractive option and for you, a very profitable option to consider.

Are we going for volume?

Just to show that not all are paid-for sites; a different kind of approach is to offer access that is free.

The objective of a free site is to acquire the names and email addresses of people who are interested in a specific topic in order to build an opt-in list. This IS still a membership website and unless the visitor joins the site they do not have access to the excellent information that's available.

Community sites and getting together.

Yet another kind of "managed content" site is what is referred to as a community site; sometimes these are free and sometimes they have paid for content.

The idea behind a community website is that there are a group of people who are all interested in the same basic topic but who go about accomplishing success in various ways. They get together at a community website and exchange information and ideas. Sometimes the worth of this information makes the cost of the fees seem absolutely ridiculously low by comparison.

What do they all have in common?

Membership websites of all kinds have one thing in common, they allow interaction between members. The old Web 1.0 where information was a one-way street is gone. In this brave new world, communication flows in both directions. You'll notice that on all of the various types there is a blog or a forum that provides a place for members to communicate, not only with the owner of the site but also with other members.

The communication opportunities allowed by these sites is one of the biggest reasons why they're so very popular today. It's also why they'll probably be popular for a long, long time to come. People want to hear other people's opinion and suggestions but they also want to be heard themselves. They really want to learn but they have information to share with others as well. Within these "communities" we all create a place for this sharing of ideas and information.

There are many, many different kinds of "communities" and different people will like different ones for all sorts of reasons. If you're considering starting your own, the good news is that there will be people who will like it and want to be members.

The truth is that membership websites are popular and profitable. Recurring income is a very, very good thing!

Choosing the Right Customised Clothing for Charity Events

Raising money for charity has become even more challenging since the credit crunch, and fundraisers are having to be more creative than ever to keep their supporters donating. Customised clothing can be used to boost morale amongst your helpers, raise money and help with the running of events, it's just a matter of picking the right garment for customisation.

Personalised clothing for charities

If you run regular events, and have a pool of regular volunteers or staff, consider providing personalised clothing that is branded with the charity logo, website and even tagline - and has a specific colour or design that only helpers and staff can wear. There are multiple benefits:

Participants in fundraising events will be able to identify staff and helpers very quickly High-quality customised garments can boost morale amongst your staff and volunteers, and help to make them feel part of a team The logo and website will help to keep your charity and its cause visible

Charity t-shirts for event participants

If you are running an event with a fee to participate, you could offer a free t-shirt as part of the price. This works well for events with large numbers of people, as bulk orders of printed t-shirts lower the cost of each garment. Again, ensure that the logo and website for your charity are part of the design, and keep the design to as few colours as possible to keep the costs low.

Running shirts and technical vests for charity fun runs and marathons

If you are planning to organise a fun run, or perhaps organise a team to participate in a marathon, why not customise running shirts and technical vests for the event?

These can be a great giveaway with a signing up fee as the serious runners participating will be more likely to wear a technical vest than a cotton t-shirt, thereby increasing your charity's visibility.

Jackets and hoodies

If you hold charity events over the year, you're likely to have volunteers and participants out in all weathers. Don't forget to look into customised jackets and hoodies, again with your charity's details printed on them, for people to wear in bad weather.

The cost of customised clothing for charities

If your charity has no budget for personalised clothing, consider approaching local businesses for sponsorship. You could offer a banner display at the events, mentions in event programmes, buttons on your website and special mentions in newsletters. These are preferable to offering to put their company logo on the garments themselves, so the impact of your design isn't affected.

Summary

The choice of clothing available for personalisation is greater than ever. The best customised clothing for your charity event will take into account the time of year, the type of charity you have, whether the clothing is for one or several events and whether you intend to sell it or give it away as an incentive. Taking the time to consider the options can not only raise money for your charity, but also raise your charity's profile.

MMORPG: What Is It ?

MMORPG stands for Massivly Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game and is a computer game that can be played with thousands of other people in a persistent game world.

MMORPGS have their roots in the early MUDs, text based multi user dungeons played over telnet connections almost 20 years ago. Many of those muds still do well today, and it only goes to show which potential these type of games hold. In the late nineties the game developers finally moved away from the text based environment and put their games into fully graphical worlds.

Ultima online and Everquest kicked off the MMORPG hype that we experience today, and many of the bigger game companies want a piece of that cake. In 2004 Blizzard Entertainment indeed took a big piece of the cake for themselves with World of Warcraft, which entertains nearly 7 million people today (2006).

So, what happens in an MMORPG, or a MUD, what makes them so addictive?

The centerpoint of every MMORPG is the avatar or character of the player. It is a figure that the player controls and that represents him/her inside the gameworld. Most recent games offer vast amounts of character customization to allow the players to "forge" the appearance of their characters to their wish. Once the character is "designed" and created the player takes off in a huge gameworld - it has to be huge since it is shared with many other people - most of the time killing monsters and doing quests assigned by NPCs (Non Player Characters).

Killing monsters earns the player experience, which is needed for the player's character to advance to the next skill/class level. When a monster is killed it can be looted for items which the player can then sell to earn in-game currency. Rarely the monster might also drop a piece of equipment the player could use and this is without a doubt a main factor on why these games are so addictive.. the constant carrot dangling in front of the player's nose, as there might be a precious item drop on the next enemy they slay, or maybe the one after that, or maybe ....

Many times players try to level as quick as possible to reach the highest level in the shortest time and to participate in the end game environment of the game. The end game can be raids on very strong monsters that require 30-40 people to take on, or it can be a player versus player experience against other non-npc people, or both.

All in all the early MMORPGs scored by the freedom they gave to the player in regards how they could experience the game world. Restrictions in the latest MMORPGS seem to have taken away that freedom in order to reduce player harassment or to keep players from making mistakes that would require the help of guides to fix.

This has led to "invisible walls" to keep players from falling off ledges and un-attackable npcs to keep players from killing them to harass other players and to keep players from accidentally attacking the npcs.

Here is to hope that the next true 3rd generation MMORPGs will bring us back some of the freedom we could enjoy in the first generation.

I Loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti Is A Yummy Read By Giulia Melucci

When Giulia Melucci was a youngster growing up in Brooklyn, this little Catholic girl probably couldn't have seen the way things would turn out for her in her personal or public life. As a nice Catholic girl, she was most likely thinking of love and marriage and that little one in the baby carriage. As it turns out, Giulia Melucci turned out to be good at everything she did, and does, except for finding the right man. She was a huge success when working in the publishing business and of course, became a well known name in the culinary arts. Her sense of humor is what makes Giulia's recent memoir/cookbook (did you ever think you'd see that together?) a huge hit and very rewarding read.

I LOVED, I LOST, I MADE SPAGHETTI showcases the writing skills of Melucci as she relates in this charming memoir about her love life with men and with cooking. The cooking part is great and I think the keeper part of the book in my opinion. There are recipes throughout the book and when Giula is going over her failures at relationships, she even discusses what kind of food she made for her dates and shares the "how to" recipes. All the recipes seem simple to make (and for myself, who can handle the microwave fine but...) not made up of all those fancy foods you can only find in New York or some expensive gourmet shoppe in your own town! But when you put all the parts together the way Melucci describes it, the result is pure heaven. These are recipes that you can make at home for your family or just as well serve at a party and impress your guests.

You will of course need to read this book after a good meal or else you will be up every few minutes for something to eat. As you read about Giula's many boyfriends, from her first in 1990 who she calls "Kit" in the book who became an alcoholic, to Ethan who was next until he said they should just be friends to a more recent Scot, there is no happy ending for our Queen of the Kitchen. Scot, who was last, was the one who she coddled and worked with to help him get his book published until they parted ways. At that point, Giulia realized she could be content just cooking for herself and writing.

I imagine that the men/boys Giulia has dated are kicking themselves as they read her humorous memoir and remember the savory aroma of the food she prepared for them. They will see the titles of some of her recipes and realize they were probably named because of the relationship she had with the man she was dating at the time. This book will go down easy and give you a glimpse into the life of a chef and what's cookin' in both her life and her kitchen. It should satisfy your romantic comedy novel and great recipe cookbook all in one!

How To Be On Top Of Google

For a young lad about to enter into adulthood I would guess there is one thing on his mind "how do I get a top girl?". For someone looking to climb that corporate ladder in her organisation the question maybe "how do I get to the top of the company?". However without doubt the thing that is in the mind of an internet marketer is "how to be on top of Google".

So why is this? Well being on top of Google means that people are more likely to come to your website from a Google search than any other site. This means more visitors which means more money. It is as simple as that.

So how to be on top of Google? Well you need to build your foundations. To get to this desirable spot you are going to need to find the right keywords or keyword phrases. A keyword phrase is something that a person puts into the search bar of a search engine. You need to find the right targeted keywords. Once you have found a number of keywords you can then create articles like this one. Google will see the keyword in the article and rank the article in a nice high position.

However there is one important thing that needs careful consideration. It is better to go for keyword phrases that have 3, 4 or more words in them than a keyword phrase that just has for example 2 words.

Why is this?

Well lets take the word "dog training". You will find there are many people who will put this phrase into the search engines. However there will also be many people trying to rank for this phrase. So the competition is high. The other point is that the word "dog training" is not targeted. Is it training for puppies? or training for dogs with special breeds etc. So you might not get the internet traffic that will buy the thing you are selling.

It is much better to target a keyword that is long and more detailed but targeted to your business. So if you are selling an information product all about dog training for Labrador puppies then you need to find a keyword that is targeted to that product. However you must make sure it is a keyword that people are using on a regular basis

Once you have the right keyword phrase that is long, is targeted to your business and has low competition associated with it then you have your foundations.

You can then start driving traffic to your website by writing articles or creating videos etc.

It takes building your foundations with the right targeted keyword phrase to know how to be on top of Google.
